Softcover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition; First Printing. Unpaginated pages; Original stiff glazed stock lettered in black, white plastic spiral binding. Front cover incorporates a b/w portrait of the author (halftone reproduction from a photograph). Rear wrapper has a blurb about the author: "Simiki Ghebremicael is a journeyman typographer living in San Francisco. Her husband, Beraki, is from Ethiopia. They have two daughters, Asmara and Sara." Indeed, the text on the verso of the front cover states: "Design and Production by Simki MG under the auspices of the MERCURY TYPOGRAPHY apprenticeship program." and the author also states her "special gratitude to the International Typographic Union Local 21." With a wide variety of typographical choices throughout in the setting. Includes a reproduction of a line drawing by the author. There is a terse statement of limitation on the verso of the final leaf of the text: this is copy 39 [number supplied in ink] of 250. Now quite scarce. See OCLC Number: 43767089 (single location only: Ohio State]. The author wrote another volume of poetry: "African Love" (1986).
