Ruby Ginner (1886-1978) was a British dancer and dance educator, born in France. She founded a dance school, and the Association of Teachers of the Revived Greek Dance. This book was compiled at the request of the Association, and is intended primarily as a guide to teachers and students of this subject. The book is divided into two parts: Part I. - The Art of the Ancient Greek Dance and its Reconstruction. Part II. - The Technicque of the Revived Greek Dance. The book is bound in the original green cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and blind stamped titling on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards. The spine is slightly faded and the spine ends are bumped with a little damage to the cloth on the spine corners. The contents are tight and clean and the front free endpaper has been inscribed and signed by the author thus: "Sybil Douglas - Yours very sincerely, Ruby Ginner". SIGNED and INSCRIBED By the Au.
