Bright red paper rear cover, bright red illustrated front cover, with black cloth tape backstrip (as issued) are both clean and bright but do have a constellation of tiny white abrasion spots on both the front and rear covers. Light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the four outside corners. Just a trace of rubbing around the outside edges of the covers. Binding is tight. Very light cream colored pages are all mostly clean - couple isolated spots on the pages - and crisp with vivid, colorful artword by Eleanor Campbell throughout. This is the 6th printing of the 1946-47 Edition, determined by way of the tiny numberline deep on the inside edge of the final page that shows a "6" on the left end and the "46" on the right end. 48 pages. Even in a later printing, this book is ncommon in really nice condition.
