Hardcover. Condition: Very Good minus. First Edition. Six individual issues bound in one volume without monthly covers and ads. Octavo, 9 3/4" tall, vi + 572 pages with many intertextual black and white illustrations + 6 monthly hand-colored plates, 6 black and white steel plates, + 7 printed color plates (patterns) + extra volume number plate and index, three-quarter leather. A very good copy overall, cover leather worn through to boards at fore-corner tips, leather back strip rubbed at hinge fold, hinges secure but cracked, internal binding is solid, endpapers moderately foxed, front free endpaper missing, volume title and accompanied plate loose, but with internal pages generally clean and moderately yellowed, with minor scattered foxing, most tissue guards present.

July - December 1863 iv, 594 pp. Bound for N.A. Smith. Text clean and unmarked. Pages yellowed, back endpapers foxed. One page loose and laid in. Illustrated throughout with engravings of fashion designs and more, several of the fashion designs hand tinted. Grey cloth boards with floral textured design, quarter bound in black leather, spine decorated with bands in gilt, lettered in gilt. Boards slightly soiled, all edges rubbed, corners worn to boards, spine rubbed at top and bottom, cracked at rear joint and starting to pull away. Hinges cracked, text block intact. Oversize item--may require extra postage.
