First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Edition (?). 16mo, 93pp. A good copy only in the publisher's rough-grained green cloth. Binding shaken, with a few rips to the spine. Though fragile, it's an intact copy, with the contents clean. Appears to be a first edition, with no subsequent printings stated, and the same date on the title and copyright pages. There was another binding, in red, which appears to be slightly more common. We are unsure whether there is any priority.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Edition Thus. "To the neophyte this work is dedicated - for him it has been carefully and thoroughly prepared. Here also the sophisticated drinker will find an authentic guide to a broader understanding of an art to which in truth an old adage may be properly applied - 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.' The combining and manipulating of nature's potent ferments in preparation for action upon the human system should not be treated as a mere matter of routine. There are lurking devils of confusion at hand ever ready to confound carelessness." - Introduction. 125 pages. Index. Appears to be an expanded version of the 1934 edition which contained only 93 pages. No dust jacket, presumably as issued. Perhaps uncommon in that half-title serves as the front fixed endpaper. Tight and unmarked with average wear to original pale green cloth. A sound vintage example. 6.7" x 4.4". ; 16mo.
