About this Item: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Published by Stony Creek Rods. 2007. 4to. (11 x 9). 300 pp. including appendix, index. Limited Edition. Copy number 71 of 150 copies published. Signed by Bill Harms, Tom Whittle and the artist, Kim Mellema. A multitude of historical color and black and white photos. Colored text drawings. A fine book on Mr. Marinaro and his rods. It seems Vince Marinaro was generally a soft-spoken man of gentle nature, but like most of us, had his other-side moments, too. An acquaintance of mine once described an episode where a certain man had long pestered Mr. Marinaro to sell him one his rods - asking and subsequently denied many times by Mr. Marinaro. Growing weary of the man's requests during one of these moments, Vincent Marinaro finally exploded in anger, broke his rod over his knee, and then handed it to the stunned man - apparently at no charge. Sometimes we get what we ask for. The book is bound half brown leather with gilt titles on the spine and light brown cloth. Brown cloth slip case with a colored plate of Vincent Marinaro on the side panel. Perfect. Fine in a fine slip case. Seller Inventory # 008178
