Scarce promotional book for this early New York fashion school located at 16 East 52nd St. at Fifth Avenue. The school was founded by noted costume designer Emil Alvin Hartman. The book is illustrated with numerous Art Deco illustrations and has much on the Hartman Method of Instruction, a list of courses including model-making, millinery, costume design, tuition and fees, places for students to stay and much more. A very good copy with some light wear to the spine tips. The text is very good and clean. The glassine jacket has some chipping to the front panel at the top and bottom.

Image size 20 x 14 in. Plus a copy of The Fashion Academy promotional book from 1933. Emil Alvin Hartman, was the founder and director of the Fashion Academy, NYC, founded in 1917 it was the premiere fashion school in America at the time. The school was famous for the Fashion Academy Gold Medal Award handed out each year to companies whose products featured exceptional design; winners included United Airlines, General Electric, Firestone, Ford & The Chicago Tribune.
