Saturation Pressure of Water Vapor, Millibars; Table II: Numerical Constants. Bibliographical footnotes, Name Index, Subject Index, and Solution to Problems. Blue cloth with title and author in gilt on a black field. Some wear to extremities with one corner just barely rubbed through, previous owner's name and bookplate, else very good and better with no internal markings. No dust jacket. Bernhard Haurwitz [1905-1986] was a German-born meteorologist and physicist who received his doctorate from the University of Leipzig in Meteorology and Geophysics in 1927. He was Chair of the Department of Meterology in New York University, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and a recipient of the Carl-Gustaf Rossby Research Medal.
