Condition: Good. first edition; folio (43 cm. tall), [10] (including title leaf and portrait), [33] (black and white illustrations with several to a page), [1] (list of color plates) pp., 33 color plates mounted on doubled paper sheets with a wood grain pattern, all loose as issued in a paper folder; the folder badly worn and chipped with two stains on front cover, interior near fine; the subject was an Israeli soldier who died in battle; The lovely water colors of the young Zuzik are not those of a child, and not those of an art student. .
