Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. b&w photographs (illustrator). 1st Edition. Hardcover. This first edition was published by Ebury Press, London, England, in 1990. 8vo. 191 pp. Both the book and the dust jacket are in fine condition though there is evidence of a previous owner's having written a note, using the book as a prop: very faint pen or pencil impressions on the front of the dj. The book is bound in dark blue paper over boards with the spine lettered in gilt. Illustrated by two four-page inserts of black-and-white photographs. The dj sports a terrific color photograph of The Shrimp by David Bailey. Jean Shrimpton was the face of fashion in the 1960s, easily making her the most famous model in the world. A must read for anyone interested in fashion history--especially that immensely influential decade known as The Swinging 60s.
