Book First Edition
Cloth Backed Boards. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. First Edition. (1928). 999 copies printed. Boards covered with fancy gilt decorated paper; same paper used as front and rear end papers. Some wear to corners. Spine label. Uncut page sides and bottoms. The author tells of reading a book, "The President's Daughter", about an unwedded woman whose child she claimed was the daughter of the President. The author states she was wrong to title her book as she did because: "The child was really the daughter of a Senator, and I beg her to consider that since there are things a Senator will dare to do that a President simply cannot do; if she had kept her clothes on a little while longer there might have been no baby. In that single respect The President's Daughter is an affront to truth and to the dignity of the highest office in the land". The author continues to search out the truth.
