Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition. 276 pp. Tightly bound. Corners not bumped. Text is free of markings. No ownership markings. No dust jacket. First Edition. Bound in green cloth with gilt type face on the front board and spine. This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of bookbinding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually with multiple stitches and then joined with other signatures to create the complete book block. This is the traditional and best method of bookbinding.

Light bumping on spine extremities and top corner of front board. Dampstain on bottom corner of front board. Light rubbing on extremities and corners. A few tiny stains on fore-edge of rear board. Else binding clean. Dampstaining on bottom front corners of pastedowns. Bit of age-toning on endpapers. Very faint dampstaining to tip of bottom corners of a few pages. Else pages clean. Inner DJ taped on spine extremities and top corners. Some rubbing and bumping on DJ spine extremities and fold corners. A couple 1" taped tears at DJ spine head.
