Designed by Herbert Reichner, possibly the Viennese rare book dealer who emigrated to the US and established his book business in New York 1939. However, the address shown here is 11 West 42nd Street in New York, while other authorities state that in 1939, a Herbert Reichner operated out of 34 East 62nd Street (see Dickinson, Dictionary of American Antiquarian Booksellers, 172-3). Near fine copy; minor age-toning around dustjacket edges.
