Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Really fresh looking copy with lovely clean red cloth boards. Inscription of famous anthropologist, AWF Fuller in light pencil on the ffep with further note of Fuller's laid in. The inscriptions and notes read "AWF Fuller 18 March, 1952 (price) 30/-" then underneath "A most valuable & interesting record Tanners, Waldron, Pl 172 Samuel Fuller" again this is in light pencil as Fuller was in the habit of doing in his book collection (see other listings.) The laid in note reads: " Apuldram (underlined as a heading) I think the Editors are wrong here. This is still called Tower House although now much enlarged. Rymans is another large house quite close to it." The note is written on the back of a piece of envelope which has the London address of Captain Fuller on the reverse with a post mark dated April 1953. Pages very bright and clean throughout. Also laid in is a piece of paper with a further note about the referenced plate 172 of "Waldron" "Fullers Home at Waldron the (Iron Masters) S.F. over door stands for Samuel Fuller" clearly this was a book which is relevant to the Fuller family history. A smaller note next to the caption for this plate redas "(Fullers House S.F. over door." Terrific copy and with great provenance.
