New Mexico's colorful history has produced a wide variety of architectural styles. Spectacular pueblos remain, Spanish Colonial placitas can be seen, old mining towns, picturesquely disintegrate, and midwestern and European copies squat in unlikely places. The buildings in this book were chosen by the author to show a variety of styles and uses. Every county in the state is represented by at least one structure. Some buildings have been recognized locally as being important, architecturally or historically. Most have been accepted on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and many are on the National Register of Historic. Places. A few are included simply because the author likes them! Months and dates are not included on the calendar so that it can be used starting any month, any year. There are 53 calendar pages with one week per page.
