Press release details what safety precautions the unnamed artists will take and after have assembled the art piece that they will "most likely be performing individual acts atop their bridge, such as dance piece and a musical improvisation." Additionally, there will be skywriting following the "timed release of colored smoke." Contact persons listed on the release include John Halpern, Gianfranco Mantegna, and Ruth May Russell. Condition: Near Fine. The Living Theatre correspondence and manuscripts, c.1967-1968. A collection of 6 documents by Rod Beere, Gianfranco Mantegna and Günter Pannewitz, members of The Living Theatre, which was one of the earliest experimental theatre groups in New York. In the late 1960s, The Living Theatre travelled internationally; this group coincides with their travels in France, Italy and Spain, and include a collage by Mantegna with an accompanying note, two autographed postcards from Mantegna, one autographed postcard from Beere and an additional note from Pannewitz. All correspondence is addressed to either Bill Levy or Jack Henry Moore, both editors of the International Times (IT) in London. Mantegna s photographs of The Living Theatre s journeys were published by Levy in IT. More information on each of the items available on request. Condition: Near fine.
