Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Hattie Longstreet Price (illustrator). light blue linen-like cover with maroon line around the perimeter and artwork of boy and young woman in maroon and light blue in a circle at the center of the cover. The back cover is blank. The spine is similar with title, author and publisher in maroon lettering. This book is water damaged. This does not affect the readability of the book. I would not list it except that there are no others on this site. The upper edge of the pages is red and the water has faded the spine edge of the pages. The pages are otherwise only slightly soiled. The spine is faded. The spine edge of the back cover is faded from water. Many of the pages are warped but strangely the covers are straight and are not warped. The end pages are lovely with light and dark brown pen and ink double page art work of a city scape at a river wharf with 3 people and a sailing ship in the background. There is a crack between the end page and the front cover and a short crack at the top edge of the back cover. Both the covers are intact and well attached. There are 9 illustrations and 16 chapters. The previous owner's name and address are on the title page in blue ink.
