Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First Edition (F& R colophon). Fairly rare book. And the other few Firsts that are around are quite costly. I'm offering this at a significant discount to them. I've provided photographs that should give you a clear sense of the condition of the covers. As you can see, the book doesn't look new (it's 78), but it's held up fairly well, a couple of small tears, a little bit of rub-through at the corners, a few speck-sized spots, nothing to bring shame. And importantly, the book is well bound, nothing loose, etc. The majority of the pages are quite clean. However, you are going to run into occasional spots of soiling of the handling variety. Quite mysteriously, there is a dash of blood red at the top right-hand corner of page 213. You might want to have that tested or you could just read the book through to the end and see what happens. 'Unusual suspense and mounting excitement are features of Maude Williamson's new novel - a love story with fine characterization. Strictly speaking, it is not a mystery story, nor a murder story, but the murder of the young Don Juan of a fashionable community ensnares the central characters in a net of suspicion and fear'.
