Includes Civil War accounts (Blair) and speeches about the issues of the period. Moderate-to-heavy rubbing of cover extremities; spine moderately sunned and rubbed, with some loss of gilt brightness; boards rubbed and with few moderate scratches. Endpapers irregularly brownstained/foxed, and with library marks as follows: remnant of pocket to inside rear cover; inkstamp and penciled "presented by" inscription inside front cover. Prior owner name, place, and date in ink second blank front endpaper. Interior otherwise clean and tight.
