Boards in Good or Good minus condition. Gift inscription in pencil on ffep. Title page detached 1bout 1 1/4" from bottom upwards. Pages tight but the book will lay open (pages detached along inside gutter/spine area). Pages mostly clean but I did see a few dirty spots. Pages unmarked. 346+ pages. "Ck/75" written in pencil on inside back cover. It's probable this is a first edition as the only print info is Copyright 1907 and Published, September 1907. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Light green boards have the same illustration.Spine slightly faded. Board corners are sharp. Interior clean with no markings. Binding tight. Dust jacket has several small open tears along the bottom and top edges, the largest of these being 3/4 of an inch tall and 3/4 of an inch wide at the bottom corner. Repaired hinge crack between the first illustration and the first page of "The Flyers", the second tale in this book. "The Purple Parasol" is 108pp, and "The Flyers" is 127pp, bringing the total number of pages to 235. "The Flyers" is followed by several unpaginated pages of advertisements. 2 beautiful full color illustrations by well known Harrison Fisher.
