This shortstop played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1951 to 1960, setting a major league record for double plays and thrice earning the Gold Gloves award for shortstop; he also played for the Milwaukee Braves (1961-64) and New York Mets (1964-66) and managed the Milwaukee Brewers (1972) and the Mets (1975). Choice vintage PS, 3½" X 5½", n.p., n.y. Near fine. Handsome glossy black-and-white full-length portrait of McMillan in Reds uniform in batting pose, signed boldly in black ink vertically along his torso. Lower margin identifies team as "Cincinnati Redlegs." A superb example from the height of his career.
