Green cloth tall 8vo hardcover, gilt lettering and design on front cover, VG-, with light to moderate wear to extremities, 76p, tissue guards and 24 laid down lovely color illustrations, no date circa 1920, top edge gilt, no markings to text, clean and mark-free, 1st trade edition? Large 8vo. Gilt-decorated cream paper-covered boards. Vellum spine with gilt title. t.e.g. and other edges uncut. With 24 tipped-in colour plates on card, behind captioned tissue-guards, and many black and white text illustrations, complete as per list. In a limited edition of 550 copies, this being No. 25 and SIGNED by Rackham to verso of half-title. The covers and spine rather stained, the corners knocked and edges rubbed. The preliminaries and last page with off-setting. Occasional spotting. Tiny crease to corner of plates at pp. 42, and significant one to that at pp. 74. A fair and sound copy, good internally. pp. xviii, 76.

First edition with Arthur Rackham illustrations. Signed limited edition. Original paper covered boards with titles in gilt to the spine and upper board, as well as an illustration in gilt to the upper board. Illustrated endpapers. Beautifully illustrated with 24 mounted colour plates by Arthur Rackham, protected by lettered tissue guards, as well as further black and white in-text drawings. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the corners a little bumped and worn, the boards and spine with dustiness, the edges of the upper board toned. The contents, page 35 having a very short closed tear to the margin, are clean and bright throughout and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Number 225 of 550 copies signed by Arthur Rackham in black ink on the limitation page. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
