Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo, illustd,359pp, NEVER BEEN BOUND, as it came from the printers, in its various pre sewing and binding sections, it lacks 4 pages , which is effectively 1 sheet, the pages it lacks are pp 23 - 26 and lacks only one plate , the plate to go with this page group ( portrait of hon mrs lytton ) all the other plates arecollated present ( some are attached to others in the wrong place as they came from the printer and can either be left as is or put in correct place when bound as per the list of plates, the leaves are in good clean condition and just a very small bit of occasional foxing, i have gone through the volume 2 or 3 times to collate in the hope of finding the missing sheet but to no avail, but a rare chance to get this first english edition with just 4 pages and one plate missing ( out of the many many plates it comes with ) and a chance to put your own binding on it . Images can be sent of course , a hevy volume 2 kilos wrapped properly extra postage will be requested. Book.
