More than the facts: the legends of Old Seattle, with commercial artist Don Sherwood's cartoon totem poles representing each chapter. Followed by a contemporary photographic "Sentimental Journey" through the vestiges of Seattle history. Gordon Newell was a maritime enthusiast who wrote for Binfords & Mort; upon meeting Albert Salisbury, owner of Superior Publishing, he would go on to write a bevy of titles for the press including Sea Rogues Gallery, Pacific Lumber Ships, and Westward to Alki. Uncommon in dust jacket; more so with slipcase still present. Hardcover with Dust Jacket in Slipcase.
