Introduction in both languages by Nobutaka Shikanai, president of the museum. Many beautiful sculptures in a gorgeous open air setting. Hakone is located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. It was in these natural surroundings that Fujisankei Communications Group opened the Hakone Open-Air Museum in 1969. Nobutaka Shikanai, the museum's founder and first director, set out to help bring sculpture to more people in Japan, where there has never been a museum dedicated to sculpture. About 200 pp. with photos in color.

Book has a touch of foxing at the edges and corners, and the spine is slightly cocked, leaving it in very good condition. Well-bound with bright pages that are crisp and unmarked. The dust jacket has minor rubbing and smudging to the covers, with very slight yellowing to the spine and flaps. Aside from the items listed, this is a very good copy that remains crisp, holds its color well and is now enclosed in an archival cover. Due to size, overseas shipping may cost extra.
