NOEL, Theophilius. Autobiography and Reminiscences of Theophilius Noel. Chicago, 1904. 1st ed. 348pp. Frontis port. Plates. Orig. red cloth with Noel's signature in gilt on the front board. Near fine. Presentation copy inscribed by the author and dated July 21, 1905. Noel was born in Michigan, but his family emigrated to Texas in 1853. He served in the Confederate Army with General Sibley's Brigade in the southwest during the early days of the Civil War.
