During the early part of the war, Confederate General Henry Sibley led his Texans to victory at Valverde and at La Glorieta Pass in the New Mexico Territory. They were later beaten by superior Union forces. The 4th Texas also fought with General Magruder in Galveston. Very good copy of the first edition.
