Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Not ex-lib. Hardcover with illustrated brown and blue paper over boards, no jacket, 335pp. Plates (reproduced engravings). Fair. Abrasion with surface loss and occasional peeling to paper over edges and hinges, strongest at corners with card exposed and at chipped spine ends. Moderate rubbing with surface loss and occasional fine spotting central panels with colros, titles and fugres surprisingly strong and clean (see/request seller's scan). Moderate lay along front hinge fromt cover to about p.15 but all holding very well, though signature from p.131 to p.143 holding just at upper tie. Binding otherwise strong, favors several places throughout. Pages toned and foxed primarily along margins with textlock clean and unmarked; stronger toning on margins of plates and facing pages. Plates proper generally clean and striking. Overall a mix of just fair through VG qualities. Prev. owners' name stamps on free endpapers front and rear.
