With extensive detail about habitats, feeding, breeding, nesting, eggs and other aspects of bird life. With 106 full-page color plates by the eminent wildlife artist Louis Agassiz Fuertes and six color plates showing 108 species of bird eggs. Includes hundreds of b&w photos and drawings. Work is divided into three distinct parts. --- In green full cloth-covered boards with images of waterfowl in flight to cover in green; gilt-stamped spine titling & fillets. Volume wrapped in dust jacket with Fuertes raptor painting to front panel. --- A well-preserved copy, tightly-bound and unmarked, but with small tear to cloth at tail of spine. Jacket with large open tear to head of spine, other tears at tail else intact, bright and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.
