Hardcover. This prominent Republican politician of Massachusetts (member of the state house and senate) was a noted Boston businessman, a fixture in the leather industry. Bold full clipped signature, 5½" X 1", n.p., 1873 September 9. Very good. Lightly age toned. Likely clipped from a routine printed legal document, for the bottom remnant of several printed words are visible along the top edge. Handsome example -- for the Bostonian who has everything.
