Large octavo; pp; xviii, (ii), 439, index; Illustrated with full page views, folding map; green decorated cloth, blue coated endpapers, spine lettered in gilt. Top edge gilt. Map has seperations at folds, A good or better copy with some edge wear, still a solid binding on a heavy book. One of the more scarce pieces on old Boston, nicely illustrated with a large folding map.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Volume I only. Brown nubbled leather, half-bound in brown leather. Gilt decoration to the boards and gilt spine lettering. Marbled edges and endpapers. 220 pp. with numerous illustrations and a fold-out map. Considerable wear to the board edges. Worn spots on the spine and scuffed along the joints. Nevertheless a very handsome copy, in an extremely tight binding with strong hinges. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
