Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Annual. A large book that has been around. Paper covered card stock covers with a fabric spine. Wear on the edges and corners. Upper right corner took the brunt of a drop and is a bit mashed but only for half inch. previous owner's stamp on front and top page edges. Interior is very good with tons of advertising, lists of mines and associated factural info. Standard format with everything you need to know about SA mining immediately prior to WW II as it was printed in September 1939. All the investment firms and the companies big and small. includes a large folded map of the "Power Supply Undertakings in the Union and Rhodesia" about 3' square with map at top half and explanation of units at bottom half. Tabbed in the index for Mining companies, Buyers, Manufacturers, Buyer's guide. A remarkable piece of history! 332 pages + an index of 184 pages (roman numeral paged). A very large, weighty book.
