Book
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Will close its text block, but rubbed to edges, also frayed and darkened to head and heel of spine, so a solid "Good." Mild foxing to final pages. No publication date stated; 1935 is our guess, though when books published at "Goodship House" were dated at all they usually run 1926-1932; other sources suggest 1930 for this title. Colour frontispiece duplicates jacket front panel. Colorful Salvation Army presentation plate dated 20/1/36 and affixed to FFE. Hard-to-find jacket itself is "fair"; frayed all along top edge and missing top 1/3rd of somewhat darkened jacket spine. "Made and Printed in Great Britain by Purnell and Sons, Paulton (Somerset) and London." The lesser of two copies now on offer. 192 thick pages. A book probably best known for it colorful title, the meaning of which may have changed with time. Reduced from $390.
