Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fair-Good. First Edition. First illustrated edition; 14 color plates by N. C. Wyeth. The volume is bumped on the spine ends and corners, is lightly soiled, has a toned spine, and is edge rubbed with some light fraying on the spine ends. At some point the hinges split and were carelessly glued back together, so much so that the front endpaper sticks above the text block and the top edge is crimped, wrinkled, and has two short closed tears. Some redeeming qualities: the text with the 14 illustrations are present and have only minor disturbances.
