Color photo frontispiece. Text illustrations. A brief history about the publication of this book. A total of 600 copies were published: 150 in full green Oasis leather with leather slip case; 150 copies in half green Oasis leather and cloth with a cloth slip case; 300 copies in green art leather with gilt titles and decorations. Polly's long-time friend and neighbor, Paul Pursell of Chiloquin, Oregon, designed the front cover illustration, although he wasn't given credit for his work; he also edited Polly's manuscript before publication, again without recognition. A nice book. Fine in a fine clear plastic dust jacket. Signed by Author.

Mr. Atkin was a nationally respected fly dresser (and winner of prestigious fly dressing awards) who also wrote for several publications and his essays appeared in a few books as well. His name, address, and his personal blind-stamp also present in the book. Black and white photo frontispiece showing the Polly-Man and numerous photos showing the methods of Polly and his nymphs. The book is bound pictorial wrappers with white and yellow titles. Light rubbig to the covers, otherwise a fine book.
