Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and binding is loose. Boards have minor rubbing and sticker residue to front. Heavy bumping to corners and edge wear with noticeable crushing to spine ends. Small sticker to rear as well.

Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for the F/O gift inscription on the FFFP dated 1905. Book Condition: Good; Wear to head, tail, and tips; wear through fabric at tips; soiling to boards; two dogeared pages. No DJ. Pictorial off white cloth boards with a title strip on the front board with a gilt border; bright gilt lettering on the title with gilt decorations. Clean internals. Interior hinges are sound and not split. 48 pp 8vo. This is a story set in the 1600s during the reign of King Charles I of England when the young Prince Charles grows bored with life in the manor and after hearing about the outside world manages and escape through a secret passage. He roams for a few days experiencing places, events, and people he has never seen before. He is soon rescued by his "house man" Wynkin and returned to the house where is is praised for his daring and given more freedoms. A clean presentable copy.
