All edges gilt; titled in gilt on spine and cover with gilt decorative depiction of crown and robe on f.cover with the letters R. & I. either side. Extremely good copy; minor 1cm.square stain on f.cover; slight rubbing to corners; minor spotting to title page. Otherwise VG++. Prize for Good Conduct inscribed on title page to Dora Arscott, St.Andrew's National School, Bristol. Scarce, rare book. Seems not to be the first edition as it talks of the recent passing of Queen Victoria.

Large format 10.5 x 14.5 inches bound in dark blue silky cloth with black half-leather, spine lettered in gilt; no date of publication but ca. 1901 after the death of Queen Victoria, but she is still being pictured as "Her Majesty Queen Victoria"; clean tight and unmarked, see photos, short separations at base of spine at both joints.
