Thus, rescue robotic devices should be adaptable, robust, and predictive in control when facing ever changing scenarios. Furthermore it can be used as a platform for carrying out various other tasks like fire extinguishing, mine detection or another most recent use for defusing IED s (Improvised Explosive Devices). With the help of this robot the position of a person under rubble can also be determined without compromising the safety of the rescuer. Our idea is to incorporate as best we can the techniques used by rescuers into our robot so that may demonstrate its usage in any high risk area involving human morbidity thus providing us with a combination of man and machine coupled with safety. 68 pp. Englisch.
