First edition thus. Reprint of the 1922 limited edition, adding an introduction by Donald R. Burleson. Collects Bierce's letters to Loveman, who he seemed to have taken under his wing, from October 1908 until a few months before he disappeared in Mexico in December 1913. Burleson's introduction is interesting but somewhat incongruous, focusing almost entirely on Bierce's influence on H. P. Lovecraft. Yellow, stapled paperwraps printed in black; 20 pages. Very good with covers a little rumpled and slight toning along upper edges throughout.
