Illustrated stapled card covers bearing the image of the head-and-shoulders of a man winking as he holds a fork. Comprises of 51 numbered recipes. Driver in Culinary Landmarks notes, "The cookbook promotes the use of Maple Leaf Cream of the West Flour, milled by Maple Leaf Milling Co., who head office was in Toronto. On the outside back face of the binding, there is a 1930's-style portrait of Anna Lee Scott above her letter to, "Dear Friend", in which she writes, "It is many years since I began as a dietician lecturer and adviser on household science, and each year I have received thousands of letters through my magazine and radio work. [Each] recipe was prepared with Maple Leaf Cream of the West Flour." No detectable flaws, contents bright, clean, and unmarked with tight, sound binding; fine.
