Leather spine with bluish-green paper over boards; tearing to worn spine leather with 2cm+ chipping at ends exposing quires; spine's rear joint/hinge mostly torn/split leaving rear board only tenuously attached by spine's two cloth binding bands; front board remains comparatively firm; strong rubbing and surface chips/peeling losses to board's surface paper; wear along board edges particularly at corners. Strong toning to endpapers; varied foxing throughout. Despite aforementioned spine/joint flaws text block is firm. Only a good copy at best. Preface on page 2; "Elementary Department.
