Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. This pamphlet comprises Practical Preaching Pamphlets, No. 5. 16mo. (15 cm.) 30[2]p. Stapled booklet in white wrappers printed in black. Just hints of wear to extremities, wrappers slightly darkened around the edges, corners square and flat, no rust on the staples, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. Inside and outside of rear cover lists other books and pamphlets available from the authors. Sections in this pamphlet include the following: Responsibility of Parenthood, Half Damned Offspring, Should a Child be Punished?, Wesley on Child Training, Advice of Rev. B.T. Roberts, How to Spoil a Child, Compulsory Christianity, Planning & Prevailing for Children, and Wehn All Else Fails. E.E. Shelhamer was a Free Methodist missionary and pastor, whose second wife, Julia Arnold Shelhamer assisted him in his work and coauthored many religious pieces. They were well known also in the so-called Holiness movement. A rare piece of Shelhamer ephemera. No date listed, so 1935 is an educated guess.
