Smith on the cotton production in Florida in the form of tabular statements of the enumeration results, together with a general account of the physical geography, geology, and agricultural features of the state. In two parts; Part I: Physico-Geographical and agricultural features of the State of Florida. Part II: Agricultural description of the counties of Florida. Illustrated with two partly colored-, as well as one b/w map. Ex-libris of Franklin Institute Library Philadelphia, on inside of front wrapper. With author's tipped-in, printed "Compliments slip" on title-page. Front wrapper, detached, rear wrapper missing. Library reference plate pasted on front wrapper. Heavy chipping and tearing on wrapper and to index section in rear of book, no loss of text (5 pages). Bottom corner bumped and creased, affecting pages throughout. Perforated- and blind library stamp on title-page and page 69. Two by one-inch part of bottom edge on page 193-194 missing. Wraps and index pages in poor, rest of leaves in overall very good condition. Scarce.
