Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Previous owner's inscription and sticker residue to front pastedown and endpaper. Water staining to rear pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Tears to cloth to spine. Wear marks overall.

Foolscap 4to (225 mm); x, 190 pp. 36 plates by Thomas Mackenzie. An about VG copy. Mackenzie's illustrations are reminiscent of the work of his Art Nouveau peers, including Aubrey Beardsley, Harry Clarke and Kay Nielsen (Wikipedia). Book.

Containing and original etching by T Mackenzie which was printed only in this edition. lavishly published on thick rough cut paper a beautiful account of "Bronte Country" Lavishly illustrated with colour reproductions of images (paintings and etchings)of the countryside in which the Brontes lived and wrote. In Good condition. Spine and edges of the cover are sun darkened,also some spots on cover. No inscriptions or markings, Binding sound. Endpapers age browned but interior and prints themselves in very good condition.
