Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Original publisher's beige paper wrappers with staple binding. Black lettering and small black-and-white illustration on front cover. 10" x 7." Twenty-three pages, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. Slight bumping at the corners and a small closed tear on fore-edge of back cover measuring about 1/4." A Near Fine copy. A descriptive catalog that accompanied an exhibition of early imprints in the United States. All entries have bibliographical information such as title and author. Most entries have a brief description. The following is a brief summary of the exhibition from Page 3: "This exhibition of early United States printing is arranged chronologically by the date of introduction of printing in the various states, starting with Massachusetts (1639) and ending with North Dakota (1864). In only a few instances has it been possible to show the first book or pamphlet known to have been printed in a given state, but all the states are represented by titles printed at least within a few years of the introduction of the press. . The entries printed here are revisions of the labels used in the exhibition.".
