Some numbers, two lines and a bank name (all in pencil) written on covers, some soil there, corners creased, approximately 2 to 3 inch tears at edges of fold, paper lightly age yellowed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Consists of uses for chemical compounds such as Paris Green, Bordeaux Mixture, London Purple, caustic soda, whale oil and Ivory soap with insructions for making one's own formulas, with much emphasis on arsenic and lead, plus a few more benign methods such as tobacco sprays, traps, etc. Includes a list of specimens of insects, reptile, amphibians, birds and mammals sent to the Department, with name and town of the sender. Moderate to near strong uniform tonng to clean, unmadrked pages within; stronger toning to wraps with moderate fxing andf soil along edges, central titles clean and sharp. 3/4" tear upper hinge with 1/4" tear onto front wrap off hinge (external tape reinforcement). Staples holding fine within, somewhat tender on wraps.

Cloth boards have a shelf soil shadow along the edges and several short areas of rubbing or preadation. Contents clean with a few scattered pages bearing marginal annotation.
