Massive collection: 50 tales by 50 authors, including two complete novels ("The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells & "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James) and two plays (Lord Dunsany's "A Night at an Inn" + J.J. Bell's "Thread o' Scarlet"). Remainder are short stories, including many famous (A Terribly Strange Bed, The Horla, The Werewolf) and lesser known tales. Divided into three major sections: Stories of Mystery & Adventure; Stories of Crime & Detection; Stories of the Supernatural. This book has a bit of bending/blunting at corners but very minor edgewear. Previous owner's signature (J. Luming) lightly written on back of pre-title page; otherwise unmarked. An ususually good, solidly bound and attractive copy.
