An inscription on the fep states "Presented to the Guild of Freemen of the City of London by John Weir, member of the court - to mark the inception of library scheme for the Guild, also the granting of certificates to the members, as initiated by him". Full-leather binding with Heraldic motifs and decorations and lettering in gilt. The book has been damp, which has resulted in some damage to the initial 75pp and the closing pages, but the text is only affected on a few pages. The binding is sound. This is a very acceptable reference copy of a scarce title. Photos available. A heavy book.
