Volume 1: xxv, (2), 288 with 223 plates, many of them in color and full-page. Volume 2:xxix, (2), 273 pp. with 22 mostly color plates, most of them full-page. Volume 3: xxxiii, (2), 249 pp. with 203 mostly full-page color plates. Volume 1: Soieries francaises du XVIIe et du XVIIIe siecle. Volume 2 Soieries francaises du XIXe et du XXe siecle. Volume 3: Tissus de l'Orient, de l'Italie et de l'Espagne. This set of books is a phenomenal reference of faabrics from a collection apparently begun after the 1851 exhibition at the Crystal Palace. The color plates are vivid and crisp, as are the bw illustrations. The pages are bound in the Asian style, with the order reversd from the western practice. The text is presented in Japanese and French. A finer set will likely not be found. VG++, one slipcase with a small mark on the cloth, otherwise As-New.
