Fine A brief account of the life and career of F. C. Elliston-Erwood, the authority on Kent turnpike roads, with a select list of his publications. He held office in the Woolwich and District Antiquarian Society and the Kent Archaeological Society and in 1927 was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London. After the war he took over the post of honorary curator and archivist to Hythe Corporation. Erwood also directed a number of archaeological excavations.
